However, his story takes a dark turn when he is accused of betraying the elven gods, specifically the Elvhenan pantheon, leading to their fall or imprisonment. This act of treachery is said to have shattered the barrier between the physical world and the Fade, allowing the Darkspawn to enter Thedas.

The wind howled through the ruins of Arlathan, carrying whispers of a god who walked among men long before the first stone was laid.
